$3.8M OF BROTHER COUNTERFEIT TONER AND INK SEIZED IN DUBAI
DUBAI: Dubai Police and its Anti-Economic Crimes Unit seized more than Dhs14 million worth of counterfeit products of Brother Consumables and other leading international brands, according to a statement by Brother International (Gulf) FZE.According to reports, more than 7,000 pieces of fake Brother Toners and ink cartridges were recovered from a villa in the Al Tawar area.Following a tip-off, agents from the Dubai Police Anti-Economic Crimes unit conducted surveillance and investigated the area, which led to the arrest of an Asian man who also showed another area in Ajman where more counterfeit items were recovered.
Brother Gulf has praised Dubai Police for the excellent work they have rendered in the fight against the proliferation of counterfeit products in the UAE.The company lauded the UAE law enforcement agency’s recent success in conducting a sting operation that resulted in the seizure of more than Dhs14 million worth of counterfeit products.
