ADVANCED CARTRIDGE TECHNOLOGIES SUES
LEXMARK !
On February 22 2010,
Advanced Cartridge Technologies sued Lexmark International for millions
for infringing three of its patents.Advanced Cartridge Technologies
holds the patent rights to the following patents: “structure preventing
the use of an unauthorized circuit board “(the ‘710 patent), “ergonomic
toner cartridge” (the ‘356 patent), “user-friendly imaging cartridge”
(the 773 patent).Advanced Cartridge Technologies alleged that
Lexmark knowingly and intentionally infringed these patents, and is also
guilty of falsely marking its products with patent numbers.Advanced
Cartridge Technologies is seeking injunctive relief, damages for
infringement, including treble (triple) damages.It is also seeking $500
per offense of false patent marking.
