customs officers prevent attempt for smuggling of counterfeit
consumables for HP printers, the company saidSofia. Bulgarian customs
officers successfully prevented attempt for smuggling of counterfeit
consumables for Hewlett-Packard (HP) printers, the company said.
    With
the support of HP local authorities seized more than 500 illegal
products before their distribution in stores in the country. In
Southeastern Europe since the beginning of this year were seized more
than 15,000 counterfeit printing supplies and components for HP
    printers.
In July 2010 local authorities stopped shipment of
counterfeit consumables for printing in coastal Burgas. 200 cardboard
boxes, 50 fake stickers of HP and nearly 230 empty toner cartridges for
laser printers were confiscated. The consignment contained false
guidelines for use of HP supplies, which were also confiscated.

of Burgas Customs Office have found the illegal goods in one common
package with several other products of dubious origin, which the
Bulgarian company attempted to import from China. All goods were
confiscated immediately, and then sent in a warehouse of the Customs for
storage. There, an expert from HP from the Anti-Counterfeit – ACF unit

counterfeit supplies, HP has established close cooperation with relevant
