CANON DONATES $ 200,000 TO BRAZILIAN FLOOD RELIEF EFFORT

SUCCESS, N.Y. – In the wake of severe flooding and mudslides that have
caused significant destruction and loss of life, Canon Group companies
today announced that they have pledged $200,000 to the Brazilian relief
and recovery efforts.To aid in the relief efforts for victims of the
flood damage, the Canon Group is making the donation to Red Cross
Organizations that are helping to provide the people of southeastern
Brazil with necessary supplies and services.“The Canon Group would like
to express our sincere condolences to the people of Brazil as they
struggle with the ongoing effects of this tragic natural disaster,” said
Joe Adachi, president and chief executive officer, Canon U.S.A. “In
this time of great sadness and loss, it is our hope that with the
outpouring of support from the global community and our contribution,
the people of Brazil will have an opportunity to rebuild their
communities and begin the healing process.”
