Award. Program Awards Presented At AIIM On Demand Expo 2005.

    LAKE SUCCESS, NY, May , 2005 – Canon U.S.A.,
    Inc.
, the overall U.S. brand leader in the color and black-and-white
copier marketsi, has been distinguished as this year’s Certification Achievement
Award winner by The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA).
Presented to Canon on May 17, 2005 during the CompTIA CDIA+â„¢ annual awards event
    at the
AIIM On Demand Expo in Philadelphia, the award
formally recognizes Canon U.S.A.’s CDIA+ Education Program, and illustrates
Canon’s strong advocacy for the development and certification of sales
    professionals.

    Sales Training Key Element
    The Certification Achievement Award,
Strongest Advocate for the CDIA+ Program, represents companies and individuals
that have demonstrated a commitment to document imaging and management process
leadership through sales training practices and programs.

Canon boasts the largest number of CDIA+ certified sales professionals in the
digital imaging industry. The program is open to all Canon sales professionals
    and its authorized dealers.

“It is an honor for Canon to be recognized – for the fifth consecutive year —
as a leading supporter of CompTIA CDIA+ certification,” comments Mitch Bardwell,
director and assistant general manager, Sales Training Division, Canon U.S.A.,
Inc. “CDIA+ certification is an internationally recognized credential
acknowledging a sales person’s ability to analyze business processes and design
    appropriate document imaging solutions.”

The achievement award, announced at the AIIM (Association for Information and
Image Management) Exposition & Conference in Philadelphia, recognizes
“Canon’s commitment to the profession across the industry by increasing the
awareness and value of the CompTIA CDIA+ certification throughout third-party
organizations, allowing for more professionals to become CDIA+ certified over
    the past 12 months.”

CompTIA CDIA+ certification is a global standard of competency in the
document imaging industry. This vendor-neutral certification validates an
imaging professional’s level of expertise in best practices used to plan,
design, and implement a document imaging system. Leading hardware and software
companies, as well as distributors, dealers, value-added resellers, and service
providers, require or recommend their personnel be CDIA+ certified.

“When a Canon sales professional articulates the value of the CompTIA CDIA+
credential to a prospect it can become a significant differentiator in a highly
competitive market,” adds Mr. Bardwell. “CompTIA CDIA+ tests our
representative’s knowledge of scanning, storing and output of color documents
for the best system design and implementation. Canon’s CDIA+ certification
ensures that we are providing our customers the most current and relevant
    information available.”

The Canon CDIA+ Education Program includes
three training courses complete with assessments, coaching, recognition and
tracking. Tested and refined by Canon Sales Training Division, the program has
