Canon India Announces 2013 Roadmap for Office Imaging Division

Canon India Pvt. Ltd. outlined today its roadmap for their Office Imaging Solution Division (OIS) for 2013. Canon’s OIS division focuses on offering document management solutions to the large enterprise, SME and government sectors.
The division witnessed a year-on-year growth of 22% in 2012. Canon’s managed document services (MDS) represent around 25% of the OIS division’s business returns. Managed print services’ contracts are expected to represent 40% of revenues by end of 2014, illustrating this critical business need.
As part of its strategy, Canon’s OIS division aims to increase its market share to almost 29% in 2013 from 25%. The division will focus more on the SME, Pharmaceutical, BFSI, Automobile, Logistics sectors as they are poised to increasingly embrace MDS to help their growing business. Canon’s OIS division will identify these organizations’ document management needs and provide customized, holistic solutions to optimize efficiency and cost-reduction. The OIS division offers its customers state-of-the-art green technology complying with the latest international environmental guidelines to help organizations comply with green best practices.

Canon MDS is currently managing end-to-end printing infrastructure of 75 large customers in India."
"For 2013, Canon’s OIS division is planning to further extend its reach to Tier II and Tier III market," added Bhaskhar.

Responding to document production being one of today’s organizations’ biggest expenditures with a cost of 15%-20% of their revenue, Canon’s managed document services outsources documents and associated processes resulting in savings of up to 30%. Canon recently won BLI’s first ‘Line of the Year’ award for energy efficiency with its A3 range of MFPs.
