    Canon Canada Inc., one of the world’s leading camera brands, announced today that the company has finalized an agreement to purchase land in Brampton for a new, state-of-the-art corporate headquarters.

    Canon Canada Inc., one of the world’s leading camera brands, announced this morning that the company has finalized an agreement to purchase land in Brampton for a new, state-of-the-art corporate headquarters.

    “Over the past few years, as we continued to expand our business operations across Canada, it became clear that we had outgrown our current head office facility,” said Kevin Ogawa, President and CEO of Canon Canada Inc. "Our new location will allow us to grow well into the future and will provide our staff with an LEED-certified building, reflective of our commitment to the environment and sustainability.”

    The new headquarters will measure roughly 190,000 square feet on five levels and will be built on 18-acres of land located on the northwest corner of Steeles Avenue and Mississauga Road in Brampton. Details of the construction timeline have not been finalized.

    “I’m thrilled that Canon Canada, a globally renowned company, will open its new corporate headquarters in Brampton. It’s a great boost to Brampton’s economy,” said Brampton Mayor Susan Fennell. “Doing business in Brampton means Canon Canada’s employees are better positioned to work, compete and succeed.”

    Canon Canada plans to maintain its current head office location in Mississauga as a warehouse and distribution centre. Canon Canada was established in 1973 and moved to its current location, 6390 Dixie Road, in Mississauga in 1984.
