Bay Area firm hired as cartridge-refilling franchise’s first agency of record.
Walnut
Creek, CA January 2006 — J. Stokes & Associates Advertising today
announces that it has been named the agency of record for the Northern
California region for Cartridge World North America. The firm will lead
Cartridge World’s first broadcast effort in Northern California, which
will officially launch the brand in the region. The campaign is
expected to begin later this month.
Cartridge World is the first
retail cartridge-refilling concept to take on manufacturing giants such
as HP, Lexmark and Cannon. In addition to providing refill services,
the franchise of more than 1,000 locations worldwide deals in
compatible and original manufacturer cartridges for inkjet printers,
laser printers, fax machines and photocopiers, as well as fax machine
and copier supplies.
Founded in Australia in 1991, Cartridge World
opened its first store in the United States in August 2002, and now has
nearly 330 retail locations across America. Currently, Cartridge World
has 20 locations in Northern California, a number that is expected to
double in size in 2006. Cartridge World says that J. Stokes &
Associates’ experience working with fast growing brands set them apart
from the competition.
“Cartridge World is awarding an average of one
franchise a day, and we are rapidly gaining the reputation as ‘the’
retail cartridge refilling service provider in nearly every market we
enter,” said Jake Brown, chief operating officer of Cartridge World
Northern California. “J. Stokes’ specific expertise and track record in
building and growing franchise brands in California and the West makes
them a perfect fit as we launch our brand to consumers in Northern
California.”
J. Stokes & Associates – which has developed
successful market-by-market communications strategies for a number of
top retail brands, including SUBWAY?, SpeeDee Oil Change & Tune-Up,
UPS Store and Site for Sore Eyes – says the opportunity to launch
Cartridge World in Northern California is particularly appealing
because it allows the agency to get involved at the ground level and
play an integral role in the franchise’s growth.
“We’ve helped
foster a number of now-successful franchises at the early stages of
their development,” said Dan Stokes, executive vice president of J.
Stokes & Associates. “Many of the clients who came to us with a
handful of locations are now well-oiled marketing machines with
hundreds and in some cases thousands of locations that continue to
enjoy record growth. It takes prudence, creativity and tenacity to
build a successful, long-term marketing strategy for franchise
operations. We look forward to helping build the Cartridge World brand.” -
