China printer market grows 3.4 percent in first quarter 2007

2007 Total printer shipments in China reached 2.095 million units in
the first quarter of 2007, decreasing 8.3 percent quarter-on-quarter
but representing an increase of 3.4 percent year-on-year, according to
Analysys International. The analysts estimate the China printer market
value amounted to RMB 2.49 billion, decreasing 8.9 percent
quarter-on-quarter and growing 4.1 percent year-on-year.HP, Epson and
Cannon occupied the top 3 positions in the China printer market.
HP had a market share of 32.2%
Epson a 21.0% share
Cannon a 14.1% share
Lenovo had a 10.3% share
Lexmark followed at 3.3%.
Inkjet printers continue to lead by a wide margin based on shipments.
