Clover Acquires Germany’s K+U Printware GmBH
CHICAGO, IL (August 2012) – Today, Clover Holdings, Inc., the world’s leading provider of vertically integrated, closed-loop environmental solutions, announced the acquisition of K+U Printware GmbH and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Collecture. K+U Printware GmbH was founded in 1990 and is headquartered in Ettenheim, Germany. Along with Collecture, its business is focused on the collection and remanufacturing of high quality toner cartridges in the DACH region of Europe.
K+U’s expertise in the European corporate and public sector markets working closely with distribution partners will help Clover Europe expand its customer portfolio while enabling diversication into other channels. “K+U has been one of the leading European manufacturers of supplies over the last decade. Collecture was founded in the year 2000, as a subsidiary of K+U Printware, and is focused on the collection of printers, cartridges, mobile phones and small electronics. Collecture’s collection and processing activities are diverse and a natural evolution of Clover’s global development of environmental solutions for its customers increasing range of valuable used assets.
