Printing supply manufacturer closing plant, laying off 75
Clover Technologies Group LLC, a manufacturer and distributor of printing supplies such as laser toner and inkjet cartridges, will close its Louisville plant next month.The plant’s 75 employees will be laid off, effective June 29, according to a notice filed with the Kentucky Division of Workforce and Employment Services.The plant is located at 4621-A Proximity Drive, off Poplar Level Road near the intersection with Indian Trail. The property is owned by The Stephen C. Gault Co., a Louisville commercial real estate firm.According to a statement from the Ottawa, Ill.-based company, “the closure of the plant in Louisville is part of the long-range plan by Clover Technologies Group to streamline and consolidate its manufacturing operations and improve overall use of capital.”The company said it is working with partners in the community, such as Greater Louisville Inc., the metro chamber of commerce, to find new jobs for the laid-off employees.
