CLOVER TECHNOLOGY NOT SHAKEN BY CALIF
EARTHQUACK
April 2010 – Chicago
(IL), USA Aftermarket cartridge vendor Clover Technologies says that
service levels to customers are as normal despite damage to some
facilities following the earthquake that hit northern Mexico and
southern California earlier this week.Clover, which operates multiple
facilities and employs over 2,000 people in the region, said that there
were no reported injuries to any of its staff, but there had been some
minor damage to buildings, although no structural damage. All facilities
are now operating fully again after passing safety checks and being
cleaned up after the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that hit Baja California
in Mexico on 4 April.
Clover said that there were no disruptions
to customer service levels thanks to the safety stock that it
carries. The company added that as part of its comprehensive disaster
recovery plan, its multiple worldwide manufacturing plants all operate
according to the same bill of materials, enabling it to source product
from different Clover manufacturing and distribution facilities if
required. This means that Clover can provide uninterrupted service for
extended periods if required, although the amount of safety stock
carried was sufficient to maintain service levels in this particular
instance.
