    Headline: Colour laser cartridge sales to hit $4 billion

    Lyra Research has predicted that sales of colour laser printer cartridges will grow to approximately $4 billion in 2005.

    The research company expects the aftermarket players to focus on the segment increasingly in the future. However, it forecasts that they will encounter increased difficulty in manufacturing colour toner.

    Lyra expects colour laser cartridge shipments to approach a figure of 41.3 million in 2005, almost double 2003’s figure as the market continues to grow rapidly.
