Coretronic wins patent lawsuit against Epson
Taiwan-based
backlight unit (BLU) and DLP projector maker Coretronic has confirmed
that the US District Court in California ruled in a lawsuit filed by
Japan-based Seiko Epson against Coretronic that Epson’s patent is
ineffective, according to Coretronic’s filing with the Taiwan Stock
Exchange (TSE).The lawsuit was filed against Coretronic and its
subsidiary Optoma Technology for allegedly infringing Epson patents
related to front projector technology.
