DELL CUTS TONER MARGIN /PROFITS FOR DEALERS 
Dell
has alienated some dealers by abruptly decreasing the profit margins on
their toner cartridges.The margins for dealers have dropped from
approximately 15 percent to five percent.Chris Davies, a cartridge
dealer based in California, has told The Recycler that he’s questioning
whether he should continue selling Dell cartridges or if it would be
more commercially viable to sell remanufactured products instead.In
April 2010, Dell announced plans to enter the MPS market. The decrease
in the discount offered to dealers may be a means of increasing the
competitivity of the company’s MPS services.
