Dell takes Wal-Mart’s Fortune spot

February 2005 –New York (NY): Dell
has knocked Wal-Mart off the top spot on Fortune magazine’s annual list of most
admired US companies, the magazine has announced.

The tech giant
clinched the number one spot for the first time, moving up from fifth place last
year.

General Electric was second on the list, followed by Starbucks.
Wal-Mart moved down to fourth place.
