EFI Connect 2004 User Conference Set for Las Vegas; Customers Invited to Fifth Annual Conference, June 27-30, 2004

FOSTER CITY, Calif.-Feb. 23, 2004–EFI (Nasdaq:EFII), the world leader in digital imaging and print management solutions for commercial and enterprise printing, today announced it will hold the fifth annual Connect users’ conference June 27-30th at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

More than 800 customers, industry leaders, media and analysts are expected to attend the conference, believed to be the largest of its kind in the print industry.

“EFI acquired Printcafe last October, and is now building on the strength of past conferences to make this year’s Connect even better,” said Marc Olin, Vice President/General Manager, EFI Commercial Print Systems. “EFI Connect 2004 is our opportunity to meet with customers in a friendly, interactive environment to share the information, tools, expertise and support that will help them be more competitive, and profitable, while helping us better understand their needs for future development.”

The EFI Connect 2004 program has been expanded with new content and an increase in the number of conference tracks. The conference will feature four general sessions and more than 150 breakout sessions, with practical applications and discussions EFI has tailored to leverage the tremendous success of Printcafe’s Print Management Information Solutions, including EFI Hagen(TM), EFI Logic(TM), EFI PSI(TM), EFI PrintSmith(TM) and EFI Prograph(R) print management systems and add-on modules, plus a number of sessions focused on the unique needs of EFI’s Printchannel customers. In addition, the conference has added three new tracks, covering Workflow, Digital Printing, and Value-added Services. An exhibit area will showcase the latest products and services from industry leaders.

“Connect is a great place to come together with my peers and share real-world ideas about how to more effectively utilize the products and software applications we have in place,” said Cindy Remmert, CFO of The Ovid Bell Press. “The small group sessions targeted at my particular product, Logic, are especially helpful. I always feel re-energized after the conference, and excited to put my new knowledge into action.”
