Seiko Epson takes action over patent infringement
February 2006 – Hemel Hempstead (UK): Seiko Epson Corporation has announced that it has started patent infringement proceedings in the High Court against Medea International.
Epson claims Medea has infringed its UK patents by importing ink cartridges compatible with Epson printers into the UK.The company claims the cartridges imported by Medea incorporate a design similar to its Epson Smart Valve Technology and Epson owns the UK patents relating to this technology
