Epson worker accused of stealing 1,800 printer cartridges
HILLSBORO
— An employee of Epson Portland Inc. was arrested by Hillsboro police
on Tuesday after he allegedly stole about 1,800 printer cartridges from
the company and sold them on eBay.Hillsboro police Detective Matt
Shannon said Tu Nguyen, 31, of Northeast Portland took cartridges
valued at about $35,000 from Epson’s offices in Hillsboro. He would
then sell the ink cartridges on the online auction site.Nguyen faces
charges of aggravated theft after the two-month investigation, Shannon
said.
