Esys to Distribute Xerox Range & HP
    Compatibles

    New Delhi, Jun, 2005

    Xerox India has
appointed Esys Information Technologies Ltd, an IT distribution organization in
India and the Saarc region, as its distributor for its range of office supplies,
scanners and projectors and suite of HP compatibles.

    Commenting on
the tieup, Natesh Mani, executive director-new office group, Xerox India
Limited, said, “Esys is amongst the top IT distribution companies and this
partnership will enhance our coverage of the Indian market. We look forward to
leveraging Esys experience in selling IT products to large enterprises and Soho
    customers.”

Esys has strong relationships with the enterprise and Soho
segments and is emerging as a key player in the components distribution market
in India. Govindan, CEO, Esys Information Technologies, said, “Xerox is the
undisputed leader in the document management market and we are excited about
this partnership. Adding the supplies product category to the product portfolio
being distributed by Esys will significantly increase our business opportunity.”

Xerox India said it will be introducing through Esys a new competitive
printing cartridge specifically designed for Hewlett-Packard LaserJet
black-and-white printers. The cartridge is the latest addition to the Xerox “It’s
Compatible” line of toner cartridges, which now has 19 HP compatible products.

HP compatibles can be used in printers targeted to office workgroups and
entry-level production printing environments. Each cartridge contains a
microchip that supports HP “smart print” functions, enabling the printer to
automatically recognize the cartridge and indicate when toner is low, as well as
how many prints remain before the cartridge needs to be replaced.
