Fight Back in U.S. Federal Court Against HP's Firmware Upgrade.
Did your cartridges stop working after HP's firmware update?  You could recover damages from HP for their violation of the "Anti-Bricking" provision of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA).

You probably heard that HP recently upgraded its firmware for several printers that caused the non-OEM cartridges to stop working.  It seems that HP is up to the same tricks as it was last year, when in March 2018, California federal court Judge Edward Davila ruled against HP that printer-disabling firmware updates are illegal because they "intentionally cause damage" to the printer "without authorization."

If you were one of the victims of the HP firmware update for the 902XL and 952XL cartridges, or last year's Epson Bricking, please contact Bay Area attorney Mark Javitch at Javitch Law Office, mark@javitchlawoffice.com, 650-781-8000.

Javitch Law Office is a consumer protection attorney in downtown San Mateo, CA.  Send a message to the OEM's that Bricking is illegal and shouldn't be tolerated.
