Fuji Xerox's New Plant to Begin Manufacturing Oem Printers in Vietnam

Fuji Xerox Co. said Nov. 19 it has started operations of a 9-billion-yen ($90.2-million) manufacturing company in Hai Phong, Vietnam.

Fuji Xerox Hai Phong Co., a 57,500-square-meter facility, is located in the Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park and will serve as a key global manufacturing hub for the increasing demand for digital color multifunction devices and small-sized light-emitting diode printers, the company said.

It will also produce key components for these devices, such as printed wiring boards and drum cartridge components.

The factory has a production capacity of around 2 million units per year. Full capacity is expected to be reached by the end of fiscal 2015.
