HP TO SUPPLY PRINTERS TO LG ELECTRONICS INC

Co., the world’s biggest personal-computer maker, will provide printers
for LG Electronics Inc. to be sold under the LG brand, the Electronic
Times reported today, citing people it didn’t identify.The two companies
are ironing out details of the plan, under which HP may start supplying
printers as early as next month, the Seoul-based newspaper said.LG
restarted a printer business at the end of last year under a similar
deal with Lexmark International Inc., after pulling out of the market in
1995 because of low profitability, according to the report. LG decided
to partner HP to expand its product lineup and increase market share,
the newspaper said.
