Fake cartridges worth Rs 1L seized in raid
MUMBAI:
The Meghwadi police recovered counterfeit HP cartridges, toner boxes
and other products, collectively valued at Rs 1.22 lakh during a raid
conducted at a Jogeshwari building on Monday.An FIR has been registered
against Ramesh Patel (20) under provisions of the Copyright Act.The
raid was carried out jointly with Enforcers of Intellectual Property
Rights (EIPR) at 10.45 am, at room number 2 of Narayan Dube
Niwas.Fifty-nine HP packed cartridges, 28 outer toner boxes, 1,260 HP
security holograms (ink), 2,455 HP plastic clamshells, a Clamshell
machine and three dyes were recovered. The raid was carried out under
the supervision of zonal DCP K M M Prasanna.
