Ricoh and Katun in lawsuit settlement

2008 – West Caldwell (NY), USARicoh and Katun Corporation have recently
reached an out of court settlement involving patent infringement and
monopoly claims.Ricoh claimed infringement of several of its patents as
well as trademark infringement and unfair competition while, in a
counterclaim, Katun accused Ricoh of monopolisation of the aftermarket
for supplies and consumables for certain Ricoh, Savin, Lanier and
Gestetner copiers.No details of the settlement were released.
