ISC’s BILL DUFFY PASSES AWAY
It
is with deep regret the Imaging Supplies Coalition announces the death
of William R. Duffy. Bill was in Prague, Czech Republic on business and
passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2006.After attending Boston University
and serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, Bill joined IBM Corporation. His
31 years with IBM and Lexmark were divided between Marketing and Sales
where he held various Management and Executive positions.He retired
from Lexmark as Vice President of Worldwide Marketing in June of 1998
and assumed the position of President and CEO of the Imaging Supplies
Coalition. Bill was instrumental in forming the coalition and was a
founding member as well as having served as Chairman of the Coalition
while at Lexmark.He was a frequent speaker on International Marketing,
Counterfeiting and Fraud and represented the coalition at conferences
on five continents. He also wrote numerous articles for business and
industry publications. He was a respected and valued member of the
Industry.Lisa Boblenz, Chairman of the ISC stated “The members of the
Coalition have lost a great friend and leader, the Industry has lost a
valued member and contributor. Bill will forever be remembered for his
leadership skills, great wit but most of all his caring and devotion to
his family, friends, peers and Industry causes.”Bill is survived by his
wife Barbara, son Matthew and daughters Jennifer, Erin, Meghan and
Katherine.
