Kyocera Mita secures IKON supply deal

2007 — Osaka (JPN): Kyocera Mita Corporation, a group company of
Kyocera Corporation, and one of the world’s largest manufacturers of
office information equipment, has entered into a strategic North
American supply agreement with IKON Office Solutions. Under the terms
of the agreement, IKON will sell and support three of Kyocera’s
monochrome multi-function printers manufactured for IKON to customers
in the US and Canada.Koji Seki, chairman and president of Kyocera Mita
Corporation described the agreement as one that will help Kyocera Mita
increase its market share in North America. He said: “We are honoured
and proud to take this step with IKON. When you consider that IKON has
access to multiple product lines from many leading manufacturers in our
industry, the fact that IKON added Kyocera technology to their product
portfolio demonstrates the value that our products deliver in the
marketplace.”Matthew Espe, IKON’s chairman and CEO, said: “This
agreement with Kyocera Mita expands and enhances IKON’s best-in-class
product portfolio. These MFP devices from Kyocera Mita, combined with
our straightforward approach to pricing, configuration and service,
enable us to offer our customers a robust and reliable pre-configured
solution and greatly simplifies the transaction.”The products are
expected to be available from IKON for customer delivery throughout the
US and Canada in February.
