Laser Rite Business Systems expanding in Florida

SARASOTA – Laser Rite Business Systems, a company based in the Northgate Industrial Park, is expanding its operations and plans to add 12 jobs in the next three years.

The bulk of those positions should be added in the next six months because of a boom in toner-cartridge sales for the company, which provides printing equipment and document management systems for businesses.

That growth "makes it imperative that we expand our manufacturing facility, add equipment and recruit and train new employees," said Bobby Mallow, the company’s executive vice president.

Laser Rite now employs 21 and will be adding new positions in manufacturing, technology and support services.

The company qualified for a $40,000 performance-based incentive grant from Sarasota County government. Laser Rite had to commit to making capital investments of at least $134,000 and adding the dozen jobs.

The 22-year-old company, which was founded in Sarasota, has 12,500 square feet in the industrial park and plans to expand into another 2,500 square feet there.

Someone interested in the jobs can register on the Employ Florida website — http://www.employflorida.com — create or upload a résumé to their profile, then meet with a Suncoast Workforce career counselor at a Suncoast Workforce site to receive a referral and complete the application process.
