 Middle East printing industry to reach US$ 7.6 billion in 2012
According to recent market research, the growing consumption of printing products and technologies in Saudi Arabia has created gainful business opportunities for local and foreign suppliers and printing technology vendors .With its strong performance and increasing demand, Saudi Arabia has been a key contributor to the robust growth of the Middle East printing industry, which has been expected to reach US$  7.6 billion by 2012. On a related note, Lexmark International, Inc. recently announced four new smart devices aimed at increasing productivity for heavy-usage workgroups and departments in mid-sized businesses and large enterprises. Highlighted by a cutting-edge user interface and time-saving features, the solutions-enabled devices enhance Lexmark’s award-winning colour product line-up and strengthen its position in a key market segment – colour workgroup products.

Capable of printing media sizes up to 320mm x 1219mm, the Lexmark X950 colour multifunction product (MFP) series and Lexmark C950 colour are ideal for  workgroups who require specialty printing, such as super A3-sized (320mm x 450mm) media, high-volume jobs and advanced finishing. Both product families also offer productivity solutions that help streamline workflow and reduce unnecessary printing, all while ensuring customer data, devices and networks are protected with advanced, multi-layered security features. Authentication, authorization, audit logging and hard disk wiping* are each offered as standard, out-of-the-box capabilities and do not require the purchase of additional data security kits.

The addition of these products provides a strong complement to Lexmark’s industry-leading portfolio of  A4 (210mm x 297mm)  workgroup printers and MFPs, so customers who maintain a mixed fleet of Lexmark devices will have a consistent user experience. Lexmark’s smart devices leverage an intuitive e-Task interface and powerful solutions platform, enabling users to view, select and print specific pages within a document directly from the touch screen.

X950 Colour MFP Series
Three models within the dynamic Lexmark X950 colour MFP Series will accelerate the work of workgroups and departments that need high performance and flexible output options. Further, these feature-rich MFPs deliver outstanding colour output and support a wide range of media and finishing options, allowing businesses to produce their professional-quality marketing collateral in-house to save valuable time and money. Named Colour Replacement, offered standard on these MFPs, is designed for the many businesses that require precise colour matching when producing branded materials. Print jobs that might otherwise be outsourced can now be done internally with colour output that meets the highest standard of accuracy.

The easy-to-navigate, 25.9cm  (10.2-inch), colour touch screen interface serves as a launching pad to a number of productivity-enhancing solutions and offers interactive sensory features, such as audible and tactile feedback to provide an enhanced user experience. 

C950de Colour Printer
Lexmark’s C950de colour printer, a companion to the Lexmark X950 colour MFP Series and equipped with many of the same features, also offers workgroups brilliant colour printing, A3 functionality and easy-to-use workflow solutions, accessible via the 10.9cm  (4.3-inch) colour touch screen. The intuitive interface, which features leading-edge display design and interaction, closely resembles a smartphone and provides a rich, informative experience for users. Instead of simple beeps and tones, contextual sound delivers high-fidelity, differentiated tones from the touch screen, making it easier to distinguish between specific alerts and touch commands.
