products maker Lexmark International Inc. has formed a division to sell
products and services to U.S. government agencies. It is called Lexmark
Government Solutions.The new unit will help federal government agencies
cut printing expenses, enable secure information sharing and reduce
environmental impacts through more efficient printing devices and
print-management strategies, according to a news release issued by
Lexington, Ky.-based Lexmark
Lexmark officials also announced
Tuesday that the company will launch a “Color for Clunkers” program for
federal agencies.Under the program, the agencies will be able to trade
their old, single-function printers for credit toward Lexmark’s Energy
Star-rated X736de color laser multifunction devices, which have a
suggested retail price of $2,276, said Lexmark spokeswoman Emily Rardin.
