Lexmark Subpoenas Cartridge World And Cardinal Cartridge

A recent court filing has revealed how many additional John Doe defendants may be named in Lexmark’s patent-infringement suit, reported Actionable Intelligence, and it’s more than just a few. According to the filing, Lexmark plans to add 51 John Doe defendants to the complaint, and although the OEM has not revealed all the firms it plans to name in the suit, “Lexmark is asking the courts to order Cartridge World North America and Cardinal Cartridge to comply with its subpoenas and turn over evidence,” Action-Intell.com reported. Lexmark was granted an extension until May 6, and the OEM has said this will be its final extension request. “This suggests that the new May 6 deadline may at last be meaningful and perhaps we will see an end to the ever-shifting deadline,” Action-Intell.com explained.Read more of Actionable Intelligence’s coverage here and here.
