Printer ink cartridges worth RM680,200 stolen
Malaysia OCT 07 Robbers held up a lorry driver, blindfolded him and dumped him at an oil palm estate before hijacking a truck full of printer ink cartridges worth RM680,200 (US$200,000). The driver, who was on his way to Senai, was blocked by another truck near the Senai exit of the Second Link Highway at 2.20pm on Friday.  The driver was tied up using a rope, blindfolded and then dumped at a palm oil estate near Kampung Seri Maju, Senai, some 15km away. The hijackers then escaped with RM680,200 worth of printer ink cartridges. Passersby only discovered the driver at 9pm the same day. He then lodged a report at the Skudai police station. Acting State CID Chief Asst Comm Che Yusoff Che Ngah said that police believed there were more than four suspects involved in the incident. “The robbers were not wearing masks during the incident and we are in the process of identifying them. “We will launch a manhunt once the culprits are identified,” he said when contacted Sunday.
