Media Sciences(R) Expands Product Line With New Solid Ink Sticks and Premium Color Toner Cartridges
for Xerox(R), OKI(R), and Konica- Minolta(R) Office Color Printer,Launch Marks Company’s Entry Into OKI Installed Base

OAKLAND, N.J., July 05 — Media Sciences International, Inc. , the leading independent manufacturer of generic supplies for office color printers, today announced a further expansion to their product line with new solid ink sticks for use in the Xerox® Phaser® Workcentre® 2424 multifunction color printer and new Premium color toner cartridges for use in the OKI® 5000, 7000 and 9000 Series color printers. In addition, the company announced new cartridges for use in the Konica® Minolta® 7821, 7830, 7812 and 7820 office color printers. All cartridges are high capacity

This launch marks Media Sciences’ entry into the OKI color printer installed base. The cartridge line for use in the OKI 5000 Series also marks the company’s third offering in the fast growing the sub-$1000 color printer market space.

According to a new end-user survey conducted by InfoTrends/CAP Ventures, over 70 percent of respondents indicated that they are printing more documents in color than they were two years ago. “This is good news for supplies manufacturers,” commented Cathy Martin, a Consultant at Infotrends/CAP Ventures.

These new Media Sciences products will offer end users savings of 25% or more when compared to the original printer manufacturer’s brand. And, to further the value delivered to customers, Media Sciences will offer a Value Bundle with the OKI 5000 Series cartridges. This value bundle is comprised of a set of Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow Premium cartridges, along with a free black cartridge.

August shipments are planned for the solid ink sticks and the new OKI 5000 Series color toner cartridges. Shipments for all other new products are scheduled to begin in October.
