Only ink cartridges missing: Ministry

DELHI: The Defence Ministry on Saturday clarified that no hard drive,
disc or printer had been stolen from Room No. 49 from South Hutments,
headquarters of the Integrated Defence Services (IDS) at Kashmir
House.Responding to a news report in a section of the press, the
Ministry said that 13 computer printer ink cartridges worth about Rs.
17,000 were missing from the store-keeper’s table drawer.As per rules,
a police station (Chanakyapuri) was informed about the theft and an FIR
was lodged by IDS headquarters on July 25.However, taking a serious
view of the incident, the Ministry ordered a court of inquiry and said
that further action would follow after submission of the inquiry report.
