Epson Announces Exhibition Fiber Inkjet Paper
The new fiber-based paper promises an outstanding tonal range and rich texture in black-and-white and color prints.
Epson
has announced a new inkjet paper that the company says has an
exceptionally high 2.6 D-max and a look and feel akin to that of
fiber-based silver halide paper. If it lives up to Epson’s claims,
Exhibition Fiber will produce both high-quality color prints and
black-and-white images with an outstanding tonal range.Epson
collaborated with Pixel Genius, a group of digital workflow experts, to
create the color profiles for Exhibition Fiber. They will be available
for download beginning on October 15, 2007, at
http://www.pixelgenius.com/epson. Information on setting up a color-managed
workflow will also be published on that site.Exhibition Fiber will be
available in November 2007 in 25-sheet packages of 8.5×11-, 13×19-,
17×22-, and 24×30-inch paper. Pricing has not yet been announced, but
Epson says it will be competitive with the other premium fine-art
papers.
