Testing and Quality Resources for Remanufacturing With the Advent of ISO-type programs, the role of the quality assurance department has radically evolved. People in quality positions are now coordinators. Their roles are to provide the tools and the processes to ensure a quality product. We recognize that everyone within the remanufacturing facility has quality accountability. The QC team personnel are the cops who enforce the quality standards. A real perception shift must happen at the human resources level. The staff here must become hiring coordinators who work very closely with functional leadership to hire trainable, responsible and motivated people. With every position in the company accountable for quality, each position will grow to be more professional. In the last two decades, quality enlightenment has caused the HR role to become more technical as well as critical to the success of a company. The demand for quality and continuous improvements has dramatically affected how we do business.
