Xerox Expands Availability of Flagship Digital Color
Xerox Reports 100 Million Pages Produced On DocuColor iGen3

Building on the Success of More than 100 million pages printed on its flagship digital color press, Xerox Corporation has expanded worldwide availability of the DocuColor iGen3 to 14 new markets and armed customers with an array of new offerings to fuel growth in high-end digital printing.

At Graph Expo 2003, the nation’s largest graphic arts exhibition, Xerox showcased how its latest digital technology is helping commercial printers change the way they create everything from books to magazines to marketing materials, transforming the nature of publishing.

The company also rolled out two new color products, an enhanced series of black-and-white book- publishing systems, new workflow software and partnerships to help print providers boost revenue and reduce costs.

Launched last year, the DocuColor iGen3 sets new speed and quality standards and provides an economical alternative to traditional offset printing. Based on data from current installations, the digital color press is exceeding initial customer expectations for print volume – with more than 100 million pages produced over the past 12 months. These pages stacked would be 33,000 feet tall or more than 20 times taller than Chicago’s Sears Tower.

Xerox has now expanded the availability of the DocuColor iGen3 to 14 new markets in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Russia. In total, the press will be available in 30 major markets by the end of the year.

At Graph Expo, Xerox is launching new finishing equipment that links into the iGen3 to help it produce hundreds of full-color books or brochures per hour, as well as related software and training tools.
