Headline: Xerox slashes UK consumables prices by 10%
Xerox’s office division is slashing UK consumables prices by an average of 10%.
The move is to combat currency exchange rate fluctuations between Europe And the US, protect Xerox’s European channel partners from grey imports and bring down the total cost of ownership (TCO). Xerox European consumables marketing manager Stephen Flint said: “The benefits will filter down to Xerox customers who will now enjoy further reductions in TCO as well as other benefits that are associated with owning and using Xerox products.”
The firm’s price reduction comes hot on the heels of its announcement of a new office strategy aimed at taking a bigger share of the $52 billion office market. (see ‘fightback’ OPI June 2003, page 35)
Xerox hopes the new strategy will change perceptions that its products are expensive and that lower TCO costs will prove valuable in its overall strategy.
