Depot drops Viking in the US
As speculated in a report, Office Depot will no longer be using the Viking brand separately in the US.
The company said, however, that it will continue to use the Viking name
in Europe, where customer demand continues to be extremely strong.
In addition, the retail giant has announced that it will close 16
stores in North America and 11 retail stores and one warehouse in its
international division, which will result in total charges of $82.2
million.
Depot will also relocate one international warehouse, consolidate some
call centre facilities and end its contract business in one country
