    OfficeMax chief financial officer resigns; will join Allstate as SVP and CFO effective Sept. 8NEW YORK  OfficeMax Inc. said Wednesday that its chief financial officer, Don Civgin, has resigned. He will join Allstate Corp. as its senior vice president and CFO, effective Sept. 8, the insurer said in a separate statement.Civgin, 47, has worked at OfficeMax since October 2005 and has been CFO since November 2005. His resignation is effective Aug. 29.The Naperville, Ill.-based office products supplier said it will begin a search for a replacement “as soon as practicable.”Civgin will replace acting CFO Sam Pilch, Allstate’s group vice president and controller.
