OKI launches new printers for Middle East graphic arts market

Printing Solutions announced today its new Graphic Arts (GA)
range to address the Middle East graphic arts market’s growing demands for
enhanced colour quality and accuracy combined with outstanding speed and cost

MFP offer a high quality professional solution for in-house designers,

OKI Printing Solutions recently formed a strategic
partnership with EFITM, a world leader in digital imaging and print management
solutions, to incorporate EFI’s Fiery® technology. This provides graphic arts
professionals with a powerful suite of print control, job management and graphic
arts utilities, including:

• Command WorkStationTM – enables users to
manage or preview jobs in the print queue and balance the workflow of networked
devices to optimize workflow and office productivity

• Spot-On® – a
colour management tool whereby the precision colour matching with substitute
colour accurately reproduces named and customer colour (both RGB and CMYK), and
modifies spot colour values to achieve colour matching with pinpoint precision

• Hot Folders – allows users to assign files to a preconfigured folder
that automatically applies all related job properties and imposition settings,
reducing operator time and assuring that the job will be printed correctly with
minimal user intervention. In addition, Hot Folders support configures job
queues for specific customers

The C9800GA and C9800GA MFP offer premium
print quality with OKI Printing Solutions’ new ProQ4800 Multilevel technology,
producing accurate, outstanding results with smoother gradations of colour and
greater subtlety in tones. This technology, together with true 1200 x 1200 dpi,
provides the graphic arts professional with an accurate feel of the final
artwork. The Auto Colour Balance feature ensures that these results remain
consistent throughout the life of the printer.

Fast and efficient, the
GA range prints in full colour up to 36 A4 pages per minute (ppm) and 19ppm in
A3. 1GHz processor speeds, 1GB memory and a hard disk drive as standard also
guarantees that production time is kept to a minimum. The flexible media
capabilities provides staff with the ability to print on a wide range of media
formats and sizes from A6 to oversized A3 and up to 1.2m banners, including
heavy paper weights up to 268gsm – vital for use within the graphics market.

User intervention is also kept to a minimum with the Auto Media Detect
feature that automatically detects the correct type of media. And for great
flexibility, the OKI Printing Solutions GA Series offers up to 5 paper trays and
the option of a Saddle-stitch Finisher that can fold, hole-punch and staple
documents.
