OKI Data Americas Supports the Maimonides Cancer Center for the Third Consecutive Year

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J.—The employees of OKI Data Americas, a leading printer manufacturer, are proud to support the Brooklyn HOGS Third Annual Breast Cancer Ride to Live on October 10th at KeySpan Park, home of the Brooklyn Cyclones. This year will be the third consecutive year that OKI Data Americas will be supporting the event through the company’s Color Me OKI philanthropic program. This year the program is providing the “Twin Sister” 1955 Pink Cadillac Fleetwood, an exact replica of the pink Cadillac that Elvis gave his mother, along with an Elvis Tribute Artist to entertain the crowd. The restored Cadillac symbolizes the process women must go through when rebuilding their mind, body and souls after battling breast cancer.

The Annual Breast Cancer Ride to Live fundraiser is presented by Maimonides Medical Center, in partnership with Brooklyn Harley-Davidson and The Brooklyn Chapter of the Harley Owners Group. Hundreds of motorcyclists are involved to raise money and partake in a scenic motorcycle ride from Brooklyn Harley-Davidson to KeySpan Park, where they will enjoy a barbecue with live music, sponsor tables and other exciting activities. All net proceeds from the benefit will go to support the Brooklyn Breast Cancer Program at Maimonides Cancer Center, led by world-renowned surgeon, Dr. Patrick I. Borgen. The Center, which is Brooklyn’s first and only dedicated cancer center, provides mammography, sonography, stereotactic and ultrasound guided procedures, radiation, chemotherapy, surgery and clinical trials for the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.“We’re excited to have the “Twin Sister” at this year’s event, since the vehicle was part of the inaugural Ride to Live fundraiser in 2007,” said Dr. Patrick Borgen. “OKI Data Americas commitment to the cause is wonderful and we appreciate the company’s continual support of those courageously battling breast cancer.”
