    Ricoh to roll out Clickable Paper

    Dusseldorf, Germany—At the drupa 2012 trade show, Ricoh Production Print Solutions is demonstrating a planned new service called Clickable Paper that will allow consumers to point their smartphones at newspapers, magazines, direct mail and other printed products and be directed to related content online.

    According to Ricoh, Clickable Paper recognizes text, images and photographs. It has a user-friendly mobile app for both iPhones and Android smartphones.Clickable Paper is based on Ricoh Visual Search, a technology developed at the Ricoh Innovations unit of Ricoh Co.
