Apparently the company settled on Windows Phone instead of Android, as it better integrated with enterprise which are the company’s main customers.
The handset is expected to be delivered this year, but no further details are available.
HP has dabbled in Windows Phone 6.5 devices before, but their hardware was pretty uninspiring, so I do not expect to be excited by whatever cookie-cutter hardware the company comes up with, but the combination of HP and Microsoft is sure to help increase the enterprise adoption of the OS.
Update: HP’s PR has denied the rumour, saying:
“This story is a fabrication and is not related to anything HP has in the works. Someone is making stuff up.
