Staples kicks off Canadian rebrand
Staples
has announced a rebranding of its Canadian contract business, formerly
Corporate Express Canada.From now on the division will be known as
Staples Advantage Canada. The change in corporate identity for the unit
is part of Staples’ rebranding process after it acquired Corporate
Express last year.Michael Zahra, President of Staples Advantage Canada,
is hoping that the company’s one-source supplier model will be an
attractive proposition for Canadian businesses looking to cut costs
during the downturn.

The rebrand is now underway and will carry
on through the course of this year. The Corporate Express name will be
phased out by early 2010.Corporate Express Canada sold its wholesaling
and dealer business in Quebec to independent dealer group Novexco at
the end of 2008.
