Press release from the issuing company

Ventura, California – The Tiara Group in conjunction with Diamond Research Corporation (DRC), is proud to announce a strategic alliance with the Graphic Communication Institute at Cal Poly (GrCI) for the Tiara Group Toner Conference to be held at Fess Parker's Doubletree Resort in Santa Barbara, California, on June 2-4, 2014.

The GrCI is an arm of the Graphics Communication Department of California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California.

The 2014 Toner Conference – www.tonerconference.com – will include a range of quality presenters focusing on the most pivotal matters affecting the industry. The talks will include extensive market analysis; monochrome and color toners; biotoners; liquid and ceramic toners; advances in toner plant equipment; status of toner cartridge remanufacturing operations; production printing; and more.

Terry Gorka, Managing Director of The Tiara Group, said, “Production printing is a new component of the conference to introduce attendees to practical applications of toners that bring bottom-line results through more efficient production, improved quality, and greater profitability.”

The 2014 pre-conference Tutorials will feature two classroom-style presentations on toner and inkjet processes, including the variety of products and their application in the marketplace. “The Tutorials,” Gorka said, “are a great way for those who are new to the industry to learn the fundamentals of toner and inkjet inks production in a knowledge-packed environment presented by industry experts.”

The GrCI is a leading graphic communication institute that focuses on research, testing, product evaluations, consulting training, seminars, workshops, conferences, and publishing. As one example, the GrCI develops the educational seminar program for the annual Graph Expo exposition in Chicago and for the PRINT SHOW held every four years in Chicago.

Gorka commented, “This is a very exciting alliance. Cal Poly’s GrCI works closely with many of the major OEMs and their involvement will help to make the Toner Conference a more comprehensive industry event.”

Harvey Levenson, Director of the GrCI, said, “Cal Poly is committed to supporting technological advances in the production and distribution of print. Developments in toner technology, and the printing systems that use them, have kept the graphic communication industry vibrant with great promise for profitable growth in the future. Partnering with The Tiara Group in the 2014 Toner Conference further affirms our commitment to the industry.”

Toners 2014 will provide a unique opportunity to reconnect with the industry's key players from around the world, face-to-face. Chairman, Art Diamond, started the Toner Conference in 1984 and has been at the helm ever since. Diamond, The Tiara Group, and the GrCI have created a comprehensive program responsive to the technological developments, trending markets, and industry challenges.

The conference will also feature a mini industry exposition featuring some of the newest innovative technologies and services offered by OEM’s and others supporting toner technology.

Fess Parker's Doubletree Resort features spacious beachfront accommodations in the magical city of Santa Barbara with its sub-tropical weather, golf courses, specialty restaurants, and outstanding entertainment.
