Toner Gate Politician Rejects Claim He Broke Ink Charity Vow
THE TD at the centre of the "inkgate" scandal, Aengus O Snodaigh, has rejected claims that he broke his word.
It was revealed that the Sinn Fein TD used €50,000 worth of cartridges in just two years. The charity Jack & Jill, which collects cartridges, appealed to the TD to donate the empty toners and he agreed.
But the chief of the charity, Jonathan Irwin, said that they hadn’t heard from the Dublin South Central TD, above.Mr O Snodaigh said: “I have been told that the spent cartridges I return to the Houses of the Oireachtas are recycled for Temple Street Children’s Hospital.”
