It looks like that Mr.Mark Hurd is not fully informed from his staff about the real market situation of the Inkjet Business.Since may years Epson is selling Inkjet Printers with seperate Ink Tanks and millions of compatible Inkjet Cartridges for almost all Epson Inkjet Cartridges are flooding the market worldwide. Its the same with many Canon Bubblelet Printers.Canon learned from that mistakes and they just itroduced a new line Inkjet Printers where they are going back to all in one Cartridges. ( Pixma iP1600, 2200). Both companies, Epaon + Canon, loosing about 3 times more to third party products than HP with was using in the past the all in one type of Cartridges. Now, HP is saying- see above – it dosn’t make to do refills – for there new single type Cartridges. Did they really study the market??? There will be also millions of compatibles very quick available for there new Inkjet Printers. And for the consumers it will of course make sence in buying compatible or refilled Cartridges. A set of OEM Cartridges ( 5 colors + 1 black) for the new HP Photo Printers 8250 is about 75.00US$. To get a compatible set or refills maybe for 45.00 or 50.00US$, you bet this will go like crazy. Are they trying to take the bread and butter business away from HP? Mr.Mark Hurd should look into such possibilities…
