Two Top Hewlett-Packard Executives Expected to Leave Soon
by Joann S. Lublin And Spencer E. Ante

Two top Hewlett-Packard Co. HPQ +1.77% executives are expected to leave soon, though the precise timing of their exits is unclear, according to a person familiar with the situation.

Todd Bradley, 55 years old, the company's former personal-computer chief, and Dave Donatelli, 48, its former enterprise group chief, lost those high-profile jobs last summer and had been reassigned to new positions.

"They were taken out of their big positions,'' this person said, adding that their departures could happen within weeks because "they served their transition functions."

An H-P spokesman said the two executives still work there and the company has no announcements. Messrs. Bradley and Donatelli couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

Reuters earlier reported their possible departure.

In June, Mr. Bradley was removed as executive vice president of the Printing and Personal Systems Group—H-P's largest unit by revenue—and named executive vice president, Strategic Growth Initiatives.

In August, Mr. Donatelli, who headed the company's second-largest unit responsible for enterprise technology such as servers and storage, was named an executive vice president focused on identifying early-stage technologies.

During this transition period, Mr. Bradley was "involved in a lot of the work that has gone on" at H-P, while also using the time to hunt for a new job, this person said.

Mr. Bradley twice was a top candidate to become H-P CEO, and Mr. Donatelli's name surfaced at least once for the top position, this person said.
