    Law360, New York (September 9, 2016) — A California federal judge denied class certification Thursday to consumers accusing Brother International Corp. of misrepresenting the capability of multifunction printers that allegedly can’t scan the full length or breadth of documents, saying individual questions would predominate over common ones.

    Would-be lead plaintiff Kenneth Hobbs says Brother falsely claimed that the printers could accurately scan and copy pages of letter, legal and A4 size, but that the devices could not actually capture and replicate those sizes. Instead, the printers have an “unscannable area” that cuts out…
